Do we have to debate Baptism in Jesus Name?

NO – A DEFINTE NO

But for better understanding of what Jesus commanded in Mathew 28:19 and what Peter and the apostles responded is critical in people understanding that both were right. Jesus said “go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. He never said “names” he mentioned clearly “name”. Peter on the day of Pentecost, the day the church was born stood up and did the same thing what Jesus commanded – Acts 2:38 says the same thing “then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”.  Acts 4: 12 says “neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved” and that name is JESUS.

You cannot read anywhere in the Bible that the Apostles gave baptism according to Mathew 28:19. You need 2 or 3 witnesses according to the Bible to confirm a “doctrine” or verse. You can read many times that the apostles gave baptism in the name of  Jesus in the book of Acts.

There is no need to debate since Bible is clear but to “open” many eyes to see the revelation of God, we may have to have debates.
