“I’m giving you soul imprints to tell you to serve my people.”

There are some songs that give you an ear worm, some that just find the escape route rapidly, but some songs are imprints that are inscribed into the crevices of your soul.

I don’t have a playlist. I just explore languages and anthropological roots of worship. What I find fascinating about apostolic worship is the unique yet universal nature of the worshiper.
Eyes closed, tears flow down cheeks creased with hard labour, maybe some traces of talcum, hands lifted up in a posture of surrender; and soft whispers of prayer or petition or thanksgiving. Worship of the unseen God is certainly one of the most fascinating

experiences.

I’ve had the privilege of worshipping with women all over this continent and even outside of it. What I find absolutely mesmerising is the bond that is shared between the worshiper and the creator. I’ve seen ecstasy and agony, Relief and release, devotion and deliverance, without a word being spoken. I’ve stood in congregations near women who are strangers yet feel like family.

The privilege of worship is sacrosanct. Especially when women come together- it’s becomes community,
Culture, and camaraderie- between the heavenly hosts, earthly beings and the Shekinah.
